I planned a fab little trip for my boyfriend and I to go on a short weekend trip to Miami a few summers ago. I had only been there once on a spring break trip in college and he had never been. We decided to fly out on a Friday so that we could enjoy at least one full day of fun in the sun before we had to go back to work on Monday. We packed up our swimsuits and sunscreen and headed for the airport. We made it down there no problem and decided to ride their local train system and then take a cab to get to our hotel. So we are riding along on the train when his phone rings with an 800 number. I immediately thought of the house. Since we got our
adt saint louis any time the phone rings with an 800 number I am filled with dread. Turns out it was the alarm monitoring service. They let us know that some one or something had set off our alarm and that I was a glass break sensor at the back of the house. This scared the absolute mess out of us considering we were hundreds of miles away and we couldn’t do anything about it. It turns out the dog in the house (which our neighbor was sitting for us) was jumping around barking so loudly in the kitchen that he set off the alarm! Good grief puppy! Way to make my blood pressure jump to 1,000 on my relaxing vacation!
